Dell is recalling more than four million
laptop batteries because of a possible short circuit that
would cause damage or possibly fire. Go to the following

The recall involves lithium-ion batteries made by Sony,
and sold in Dell Latitude,Inspiron,
XPS and Precision notebook computers
sold between April 1, 2004 and July
18, 2006.
As of October,
2008
The U.S. Product and Safety Commission has just released
a new battery recall for selected Hewlett-Packard,
Toshiba and Dell laptop computers.
Approximately 100,000 batteries are involved in the recall.
